ETS Championship 2025

August 09 & 10

Aarhus, Denmark

Hosted by Roundnet Aarhus

The ETS Championship in Aarhus is a two-day event. On Saturday is the ETS Open Championship with teams competing in open and women. On Sunday is the ETS Mixed Championship.

Elite and Pro Divisions

In Open, Women & Mixed there will be an Elite, Pro & Contender division.

The elite division will contain the 16 highest ranked teams, based on the combined individual point ranking.

Requirements for Elite

Each individual player has to have ETS points in order to be eligible to play in the elite division.

This means, a team consisting of one player with 500 points and one player with 0 points will not be eligible to play in the Elite Division. Both players have to have a minimum of 1 point, in order to earn the right to play in the elite division.

Sign-Up Process

32 spots will be available for each pro division (open, women & mixed).
After the spots are filled, the 16 highest seeded teams (by points & fulfilling the requirements) will be moved into the elite division.

As this event needs to be planned in advance (specifically the elite division), and for competitive fairness, the deadline for being considered for the elite division, the cut off point will be 1 day after the last European Tour Stop in Basel (14.07.2025 - end of day).

Reasoning

The reason to not use fixed team points, but the individual points was based on the fact that this season was used to test a lot of different rules and plenty of teams tried out different team constellations. In addition, we as EURA did not feel confident enough at the start of the season to make a general decision as to only having fixed teams for the elite division, due to the uncertainty as to how the packages will play out.

Therefore, we deem it the fairest way to use the individual point system. This way each player who has the results and points to show for, has the chance to compete in this year's ETS Championship elite division in Aarhus to compete for the title of becoming the ETS Champion.

Injury/Drop-Outs

If a team drops out due to injury or a player replacement has to take place, the following cases apply:

  1. If a team withdraws from the competition, the highest ranked, eligible team from the pro division signed up before the deadline (14.07.2025) will move up into the elite division

  2. If a player needs to be replaced, the new team will still need to have more points than the 17th team, in order to stay in the elite division. Otherwise team 17 will move up to the elite division.
