NATIONAL TEAMS
The competition will take the form of a Squad Championship in which each country will be allowed to align a Mixed Squad, Women Squad and Open Squad. All these squads will compete in separate divisions.
Teams within each squad are paired for matches according to the rankings provided by their National Governing Body (NGB). The top-ranked team from one squad faces the top-ranked team from the opposing squad.

The Mixed Squad will be composed of 3 Mixed Teams (3 women & 3 men) . This division will take place on Friday which allow the players who are part of the Mixed Teams to also compete on Saturday and Sunday with the Open & Women Squads. Nonetheless, the players can also be partly or completely different from the Open & Women Squad.

The Open Squad will be composed of 5 Teams (10 players, any gender). This division will take place on Saturday & Sunday. The Women Squad will be composed of 5 Teams (10 women). This division will take place on Saturday & Sunday.

A country can choose to align or not a team in each division:
- A Mixed Squad should absolutely be composed of 3 Teams
- An Open or Women Squad should at least be composed of 3 Teams - Notice that if 3 out of 5 Teams are aligned, the Squad will start with a 0-2 defeat against Squad of 5 Teams.

ALTERNATES

Each nation is allowed to nominate two substitute players per Squad (Mixed, Open and Women's).
These substitutes will together form:
-
a 4th team in the Mixed Division
-
a 6th team in both the Open and Women’s Divisions
How does the substitution system work?
-
Each nation will register a total of four (Mixed) or six teams (Open & Women) per division, but only three (Mixed) or five (Open & Women) teams will be fielded in matches.
-
This means a country can choose to field the substitute team instead of one of its main teams.
-
Seeding must always be respected, with the substitute team automatically seeded as #4 (Mixed) and #6 (Open & Women).
-
Substitutes can therefore actively participate if a main team is not fielded.
What happens in case of injury?
-
From 7 days before the start of the event:
Substitutes cannot be changed. Rosters are locked. -
The following rules will be applied:
-
a substitute may replace an injured player. Once substituted a player cannot reintegrate the team at any point of the competition.
-
the 6th team (formed by substitutes) will then be dismantled and unavailable for further play.
-
the team receiving the substitute may be lowered by one seeding position, at the nation’s discretion.
When can substitutes be activated?
Substitutes may officially replace a player at the following times:
-
In the week before the event
-
Before a Group Stage game starts
-
Before the start of a bracket round
A substitute cannot replace any player during a game, in case of injury the game should be forfeited.

SUPPORT STAFF
Captains
In order to ensure a smooth tournament each Nation is asked to choose a captain for each of its Squads. Captains must be active players listed on their respective squad's roster.
NGBs are encouraged to appoint individuals who embody the values of their country both on and off the field. Captains should demonstrate leadership, serve as key decision-makers, liaise with observers and officials, and help guide the conduct and spirit of their squad.

Team Managers/Coach
Each NGB is required to appoint at least one Team Manager/Coach per Division. The TM/Coach for Mixed can also be TM/Coach for the Open or Women Squad as the competition is happening on different days. However, Open and Women Squad should have 2 separate TM/Coaches.
TM/Coaches should be reliable, well-organized, and effective communicators. They serve as the main liaison between the event organizers and the NGB, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency. Their responsibilities include sharing updates with teams, coordinating with tournament directors and staff, and ensuring compliance with schedules and guidelines.
TM/Coaches are also expected to attend official briefings during the event and relay all relevant information to their teams. The role may be filled by a player, captain, coach, or any other individual affiliated with the NGB.
Although more TM/Coaches may be appointed at the NGB’s discretion, only two official TM/Coaches must be formally identified for the purposes of the event.
